How it works:

Welcome to Cactus Canyon Junior High!

Where curiosity is celebrated, and students are encouraged to explore their passions and discover what inspires them. We offer opportunities for students to program and build leading edge technology, engage in the performing arts, learn world languages, learn leadership skills, to prepare for high school, college, and careers. We meet students where they are at, whether it is in advanced or honors classes, and if they need extra support.

We currently offer Spanish and French language classes, PE, Art, Band, Strings, Choir, Drama, the Gen Tech STEM program, Writing, Yearbook/Photography/Design, Student Council, AVID (is a program to teach skill for success in higher education and career), NJROTC (8th Grade), and more.

We know today’s students require more than just rigorous classes to be engaged and become part of a school community. We offer many extracurricular activities including four seasons of sports, e-Sports, social and academic clubs, competitive academic teams, and numerous events throughout the year.
