Principal's Message
Dear Cougars,
I am honored to serve as the new principal of Cactus Canyon Junior High. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University and spent 12 years teaching secondary mathematics. Throughout my teaching career, I was fortunate to be guided and inspired by strong leaders who encouraged me to pursue new opportunities, ultimately leading me to earn my master’s degree in educational leadership, also from Arizona State University. As a mother, my journey into education and leadership has been deeply personal—I wanted to become the kind of leader not only my own children deserve, but one that every student deserves.
This is my second year in the Apache Junction Unified School District, and I am excited to continue serving this community. I am committed to creating a school culture where all students are supported while being held to high expectations. I believe that when we challenge students academically and provide the necessary guidance along the way, we empower them to grow, achieve, and be prepared for future success.
